What is eMakerTM ?

Intercomp's eMakerTM is a set of compiler-centric software tools that provide a comprehensive automated solution for the migration of legacy mainframe and non-mainframe COBOL applications into Java N-tier client/server e-commerce applications. eMakerTM, generating 100% Pure Java code certified by SUN Microsystems, offers its users the ability to analyze their legacy systems, reengineer them and convert them into a new N-tier paradigm. The eMakerTM solutions set comprises three major modules:

AnalyzeITTM - provides assessment of the application, creating a repository and inventory of the application's components and the relationships between them. The results of the analysis are presented graphically and in reports, thus enabling the user to examine the code and the structure of the application down to the level of a single variable.

MineITTM - provides Component and Business Rules mining, i.e., discovering and extracting business rules and objects from the legacy application and moving them into state-of-the-art Java objects and EJBs (Enterprise Java Beans).

MigrateITTM - provides "one-to-one" migration of the COBOL code to Java, thus allowing for the users to benefit from the advantages of the Java technology, yet maintain their in-depth familiarity with the former COBOL application, with its structure and flow.
